Flights from the UK

Since the new fuel surcharges were introduced, the flight charge has increased considerably. However there are still deals to be had.....

 

It is cheaper to buy a flight & car package and fly mid week (Wednesday). Average flight time direct to Orlando is 9.5 hours.

 

Further savings may be achieved by flying indirect (therefore changing in the US, such as Philadelphia). You should be prepared to have a much longer travel time, 15 hours average, but you can save quite a bit.

 

Virgin & British Airways maybe a little dearer but are still very competitive when you consider all the extra's - You get free food, drinks, TV, music & gaming, (great for entertaining the children). They both provide a daily service and fly direct into Orlando; (Virgin also offer a twilight check-in in the UK and a Downtown Disney check-in service in the US). (Orlando airport is approximately 30 minutes from our villa).

 

Alternatively you can find some cheaper deals using Thompson fly or Monarch who operate a service into Sanford airport. These flights can be a little restrictive on dates and the onboard facilities are limited. (Sanford airport is approximately 45 minutes from our villa).

If you haven't booked a flight & car package then you may wish to use the links opposite. There are always deals to be made. All three companies have offices at Orlando and Sanford airport.

It can be cheaper to book a complete package of insurance and extras through the UK company, who offer different standards of packages such as Fully Inclusive, Platinum & Premier Platinum; (these can include unlimited mileage, additional named drivers, initial tank of fuel, infant or baby seats and Sat Nav). Again it is well worth shopping around if you have the time.
